STUDY PROGRAMME ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTING
The study programme is designed in keeping with leading European faculties and universities in the field of electrical engineering and computing, while also relying on previously acquired experiences in the country. Lectures, practical classes and internships are designed to produce highly-educated personnel that could be competitive and competent in the modern business environment. All study programmes are developed in accordance with the Bologna Declaration principles, through the implementation of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), modern teaching methods and the teaching performance assessment system. Replying on the experiences of the most renowned university institutions in the country and abroad, all courses, excluding foreign languages, are organized as one-semester courses.
Independent work during the studies is highly valued, especially in concentration courses. Students are encouraged to take part in professional and developmental projects while emphasis is laid on developing problem-solving skills. Some courses are supported by software packages produced by renowned world companies. This approach, in addition to theoretical and hands-on knowledge, helps students acquire the feeling of personal security and fulfillment. It is a prerequisite for successfully integrating into the professional environment.
The study programme consists of required and elective courses. By choosing elective courses, students have the opportunity to shape their academic profile towards:

The study programme Electrical Engineering and Computing has required courses that are traditionally studied in the field of electrical engineering; Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Programming 1 (Java), Physics, Discreet Mathematics, The Fundamentals of Computer Engineering, Data Structures and Algorithms, Programming 2 (Object Oriented Programming), Signals and Systems, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Automatic Control, Management Systems, Digital and Analog Electronics, Computer Networks, Database, Internet Technologies and Web Services, Telecommunications, Digital and Wireless Communication Systems, Digital Signal and Image Processing;
Computing and Electronics option encompasses the following courses: Microcontrollers and Control Systems, Mobile and Communication Systems, Computer Networks Security, Mobile Application Development – Android, iPhone, Numerical Analysis, Programmable Hardware and Built-in Systems.
Software engineering option encompasses the following courses: Concurrent and Distributed Programming, The Fundamentals of Digital Forensics, Knowledge-Based Expert Systems, Internet Programming, Multimedia Systems and Real Time and Data Acquisition Systems.
Energy efficiency option encompasses the following courses: Renewable Energy Sources, Electric power converters, Energy economy and market models, Technical standards and regulations, Energy Efficiency and Energy Management, Power transmission system management.
Internships are organized at the companies whose line of business correlates to the Electrical Engineering and Computing study programme curriculum. Every school year several daily visits to the organizations that stand out in the field of electrical engineering, informatics and computing are organized. Students have an opportunity to attend lectures delivered by distinguished guests, leading world experts in electrical engineering, successful businessmen and entrepreneurs.
