Singidunum University offers three-year and four-year bachelor studies, one-year and two-year master studies, as well as three-year PhD studies.

Singidunum University has been awarded accreditation for the realization of bachelor, master and PhD studies within the scientific fields of social, applied and formal sciences. Curricula are in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Declaration through implementation of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), contemporary teaching methods and teaching staff evaluation system. Study programmes are adapted to the needs of business environment. The lectures are held in modern premises by 200 renowned professors from the country and abroad. Singidunum University cooperates successfully with numerous higher education institutions from Europe, Asia and the United States. Also, it has established partnerships with the leading Serbian companies.

Practical classes in IT courses are in accordance with the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) certification programme which is carried out as a part of European initiative for standardizing information literacy assessment. Singidunum University also offers distance learning, i.e. Distance Learning System (DLS).


All study programmes have been accredited. Singidunum University has a clearly defined Quality Assurance Strategy and our students are actively involved in the continuous process of academic improvement.


Our students are assessed according to the predefined criteria and rules with the procedures being in agreement with the contemporary exam-taking standards.


Lectures and coursebooks are adapted to the modern market requirements. Thus, our students gain theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for finding employment immediately following the graduation.

Students and parents are able to register exams online, view results of pre-examination activities and exams, keep track of the registered payments, evaluate teaching staff and quality of studies, choose available courses and directly access e-mail.



Rule 1/ Accreditation

Before you make the final decision it is very important that you are entirely sure that the University i.e. the Faculty you decided to enroll is accredited. The Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance founded by the National Higher Education Council (www.kapk.org) published a document “A guide through accredited programmes of study at higher education institutions in the Republic of Serbia”, where you can see which universities i.e. which faculties have received accreditation. Accreditation is a process which establishes whether a higher education institution meets the standards for conducting study-related activities, i.e. it makes sure that programmes of study are in accordance with the standards. Aside from the process of accreditation, the Ministry of education and science checks the working conditions of the faculty and issues a license. It is of prime importance that the faculty you wish to enroll possesses the Accreditation assurance and license.


Each faculty has its own website where you are able to find a lot of useful information that may be of help when choosing a faculty. Look into the structure of the study programmes, i.e. the courses studied at the individual study programmes and make sure they meet the requirements of your future career. Look into the structure of the teaching staff and associates that lecture at the higher education institution. Carefully read over the news posted on the website and make sure they are up-to-date and diverse. Check whether the website has rulebooks and study instructions, as well as other recommendations that can assure you that the faculty treats its students responsibly and professionally.


You should never make the final choice before visiting the faculty you want to enroll. No matter how well you think you know the faculty you decided to study, you can find a lot by spending several hours at the premises of the faculty, the choice of which your entire life may depend upon. You are advised to bring along a family member, because you may later exchange experiences with him or her. Singidunum University has an “Open door” policy, aimed at receiving new students, which is why you are advised to schedule your appointment in advance. During the visit you will have the opportunity to distinguish between different faculties and only then will you be able to know what the best choice for you is.


Sometimes we make a choice of faculty solely on the basis of prejudice, without having checked them against reality. For example if the short-list of the faculties includes those that either your parents or somebody you know attended, you are advised to check how much things have changed since that time, and see whether, once great faculties, have kept abreast of the times and if they apply modern working methods. If the answer is NO, then it is up to you to choose the faculty that can prepare you for the future, provides practice, in addition to theoretical offers hands-on knowledge, and also motivates you to learn at least two foreign languages, helps you to build up your career and eventually find employment. In addition, inquire about the information system and how administration is organized, whether regular office hours are held and if they organize additional classes. It is important to check what is included in the price of tuition at some faculties, so that they can plan in advance. At Singidunum University the cost of tuition includes textbooks while trust is also built in such way that the price of tuition remains unchanged from the beginning until the end of studies.


Conduct research, ask questions, check and make sure that the reality is in accordance with what you think. You will hear many people say that at that faculty “nobody studies”, “it’s too hard”, “it’s too expensive” etc. without them actually being familiar with the facts. Don’t accept such generalizations without any proof. It’s very important to inquire about the experiences of students who currently attend this faculty. Look for “a student advisor” at Singidunum University and he will help you find answers to all the questions related to your student life.


After you have explored all options of good-quality education it is time to make a decision. It is important to enroll the faculty which is aware that its teaching staff are partly responsible for your future. The Faculty of Technical Science is the first private faculty in Serbia which has accredited the following study programs: Electrical Engineering and Computing and Engineering Management. Upon completing the first programme a student is awarded the following degree - B.S. in electrical and computing engineering. Upon completing Engineering Management a student earns B.S. in engineering management. The study programmes offered by the Faculty of Technical Science belong to the technical and technological scientific field according to the classification of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. Upon graduation, students can continue their studies at postgraduate master and thereafter doctoral level at Singidunum University but also at any other accredited university in Serbia and abroad.

The Faculty of Technical Science offers two accredited study programs:

In addition to theoretical knowledge, students acquire practical knowledge in the following fields: information technology, computer science, electrical engineering and industrial management. The knowledge of these fields is highly demanded in Serbia and in Europe as well.
The structure of the study programme is in line with global trends in this field and it is modeled on the Europe’s leading colleges and universities of electrical and computing engineering. The realization of the programme is supported by software packages in cooperation with leading international companies. During the studies, special attention is paid to the understanding of the theoretical basis of electrical and computer engineering, engineering management, and in particular, software engineering and programming. All this ensures permanency of the acquired knowledge and a possibility of acquiring new knowledge in the future which imposes rapid information technology changes in contemporary production systems. Students are trained to solve real situation problems at work using the latest software packages, manufacturing and programmable systems. This will capacitate them to work in local and international companies immediately upon their graduation, without a need to take additional training courses. Singidunum University has signed cooperation agreements with many local and foreign companies doing business in Serbia. Students are guaranteed internship placements as well as specialization and training on the systems used in practice.

Engineering management is a special form of engineering and management that applies engineering principles in both business and manufacturing practice. Engineering management is a driving force in finding solutions to technological problems, understanding engineering, organizational and administrative activities in order to ensure smooth running of manufacturing and business systems all the way through.

The examples of engineering application areas include a wide range of business activities where multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills are required – from product development and packaging, manufacturing, civil engineering, industrial engineering, technology to any other field which seeks to employ professionals who carry out engineering tasks in order to perform engineering management activities successfully.

Nowadays, an engineer is not only a routine professional, he is at the same time a project team leader, an innovator and expert, who is expected to come up with and create new solutions, lead a multi-disciplinary team and sell products and knowledge in the world market. In this study program, students are getting prepared for all aspects of work ranging from providing professional services in the areas of hardware, software, computer graphics to becoming managers, leaders and organizers of all activities from putting forward an idea to making the final product and designing their own brand.

Students attend lectures at top quality premises equipped with technical, audio-video and Internet communications. Singidunum University library has an electronic book catalogue which is formed in the same program as the catalogue of the National Library of Serbia and can be found on the University’s website. The Library is registered with the Library of Belgrade University „Svetozar Marković“.

The study programme Engineering Management is designed in keeping with leading world and European faculties and universities. It also embeds experiences acquired in our country.

Lectures, practical classes and internships are designed to produce highly-educated personnel that could be competitive and competent in the modern business environment. All study programmes are developed in accordance with the Bologna Declaration principles, through the implementation of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), modern teaching methods and a teaching performance assessment system. Replying on experiences of the most renowned university institutions in the country and abroad, all courses, excluding foreign languages, are organized as one-semester courses.

The study programme consists of required and elective courses. By choosing elective courses, students have an opportunity to shape their academic profile towards:
  • Quality management and
  • Industrial design.

Quality management encompasses the following courses: Standardization and metrology, Accreditation and conformity assessment, Quality management system design, Living and working environment management system design, Information security management system design. Industrial design encompasses the following courses: Internet technologies, Product design, Packaging design, Computer Integrated Manufacturing – CIM and Technical Diagnostics and Maintenance Technologies. The lectures within the Engineering management study programme, including the aforementioned options, are largely based on an interactive approach. Case studies form an integral part of all courses in this study programme. We would like to emphasize that students are required to master the following software programmes in several courses: SolidWorks and SAP.

Students will be able to intern with the companies whose field of business is in an industry that has something in common with the courses studied at the Engineering Management programme. Throughout the studies the Faculty organizes several one-day visits to the best organizations in the field of quality, industrial design engineering, general and strategic management, that is, entrepreneurship and project management. Students have an opportunity to attend the lectures of renowned guests, successful businessmen. One of the crucial goals is to raise engineers’ awareness that they continuously need to improve their education and skills at the company. Another aim of the study programme is to educate experts capacitated to work in a team and help the development of communication skills and abilities to pass their knowledge and results on associates.


Engineers are competent to see the needs of companies in all their processes, design solutions, manage the processes and companies as a whole, deal with real problems encountered in practice. Software engineering option encompasses the following courses: Concurrent and Distributed Programming, The Fundamentals of Digital Forensics, Knowledge-Based Expert Systems, Internet Programming, Multimedia Systems and Real Time and Data Acquisition Systems.

Energy efficiency option encompasses the following courses: Renewable Energy Sources, Electric power converters, Energy economy and market models, Technical standards and regulations, Energy Efficiency and Energy Management, Power transmission system management.

Internships are organized at the companies whose line of business correlates to the Electrical Engineering and Computing study programme curriculum. Every school year several daily visits to the organizations that stand out in the field of electrical engineering, informatics and computing are organized. Electrical engineering and computing
There is an increasing need for quality management staff that specialize in managing all production and services sectors. In addition to a good understanding of production and technology, success in business also necessitates excellent knowledge of software tools and modern programmes. The Technical Faculty of Singidunum University offers the aforementioned study programmes, which coupled with the teaching staff capacitate future engineers for conducting managerial jobs at all company levels, using the latest software packages. The purpose of the Electrical Engineering and Computing study programme is to educate students for the following lines of work: electrical engineering and computing, including software engineering , computing and computer graphics , in accordance with the needs of society (according to the official statistics, Serbia’s revenues in this business field exceed the revenues of some formerly quite lucrative fields. It has been announced that new companies will be set up, which indicates that Serbia currently needs at least 1,000 experts). Nowadays, electrical and computing engineers are required to solve practical problems using algorithms. They are supposed to implement them using preferred programming language and programmable hardware platforms, both for stationary and mobile systems. A dominant trend in programming is the application of Internet technology and web services.

Engineering Management
The purpose of Engineering Management study programme is to educate students for the following line of work: Management Engineer, which includes quality and project management, industrial design, standardization and metrology, accreditation and conformity assessment, various aspects of management, technical diagnostics and maintenance technologies. The study programme provides competencies that are socially justifiable and useful and enable students to choose subjects that are more "turned" to standards and quality or more oriented toward industrial design and planning. Alternatively, students may opt to combine the knowledge of both fields. A student who acquires a degree in Engineering Management is qualified for the jobs of engineer and manager in diverse companies and their organizational units from different segments of industry. Once they have successfully mastered the programme, students are able to solve problems creatively and make decisions in the following fields: engineering processes, operating management, strategic management, knowledge management, quality management, industrial design, database design, decision support systems, intelligent systems design, risk management, financial and commodity exchange in engineering, public administration and local self-government, international organizations whose field of business is either engineering or manufacturing. The unique study programme and the aforementioned options are carried out by establishing and consistently implementing two large groups of overlapping business skills that constitute the basis of the educational system of the integrated University Singidunum. These include professional business skills, i.e. hard and soft skills.


Engineering management helps to successfully run individual projects, enterprises and people in manufacturing, industrial design, engineering, information technologies, telecommunications, transportation, and other industries. Modern organizations are process-oriented and processes must be founded on knowledge and quality defined by the systems of quality and total quality management philosophy (TQM). One of the main objectives is to raise engineers’ awareness that they must continuously work on improving their education and skills in the company. Furthermore they must also learn and apply both general and specific international standards. Another aim of the study programme is to educate professionals capable of teamwork. It aspires to develop communication abilities and skills i.e. the abilities and skills for transferring knowledge and results to associates at work and their publishing. The study program Electrical Engineering and Computing is the first private academic educational program of study at the integrated University Singidunum, where students may acquire a prestigious bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and Computing. Students are prepared for this highly sought profession in the following three programmes: Computing and Electronics, Software Engineering and Computer Graphics.

Foreign languages
University students, including the Faculty of Technical Science, are required to take up two foreign languages, of which English is mandatory during all four years of studies. In addition to the English language, students can also choose among the following languages: Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and French. Should the need arise, other foreign languages will be introduced.

Computer skills
The basic literacy in contemporary engineering and management entails computer work. Therefore the real needs of the labour market have resulted in harmonizing computer courses with the programme.

Additional student training
Students with high grades in particular courses can get the following certificates: SolidWorks, SAP, TUV, Thuringenn, Cisco, Oracle, Microsoft, etc.


Soft skills describe an individual’s ability to, aside from the expertise required for performing a particular job, possess all those emotional, social and spiritual abilities that are a prerequisite for the results of his work to contribute to achieving organization's objectives and meeting his own full potential. Employers, generally, concur about the qualities that employees ought to posses at the start of their career, i.e. upon graduation, in order to achieve expected results at work. Employees named the following among the most important soft skills: professionalism, ethics, oral and written communication, teamwork and collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving skills, commitment, knowledge and use of information technologies, leadership, creativity and innovation, commitment to continuous improvement, as well as social responsibility.

Practical research and business skills
Aware that soft skills constitute an essential part of the knowledge that future employees need to possess and in keeping with a large number of research and employment requirements, Singidunum University has decided to introduce soft skills into its study programme. In this programme, graduates acquire abilities and skills they will need in life and at work. The course provides students with a range of practical skills required for employment. They learn how to achieve visible and significant results at work, develop teamwork and negotiation skills and sales skills. They are taught to understand "body language" and develop effective presentation skills.

Internship and larger number of classes aimed at capacitating students for practical work are crucial elements for bridging the gap between studying and labour market. Every year, Singidunum University organizes internships for several hundred students of all integrated faculties. Singidunum University Career Development Centre is almost a decade old. Starting from October 2013 till July 2014, Singidunum University opens its doors to prospective students and their parents. During the visit, high-school students can find out all about the University, its faculties, programmes, teaching staff, organization, lectures, student life, etc. They can also see the University facilities and meet the University academic staff and students. During the open days, high-school students are welcomed by our professors and current students. “Graduating Students Days” is an event, traditionally held at Singidunum University, with the aim of further educating high school graduating students, through useful lectures delivered by the University professors, as well as knew experiences exchanged between prospective and current students. The lectures relate to current topics, such as: motivation, career development, technology development, healthy diet or some specialized topics. More than two thousand high-school graduating students have attended this event so far. Counsellor students can advise you on all the issues regarding student life, classes, as well as other issues related about student activities at the University. Their role is to help prospective students resolve their dilemmas about the choice of faculty or programmes, and share their experiences concerning studies, internship, career development, etc. Counsellor students can also answer questions about the programmes and help design study plans, depending on specific personal needs and interests. The University website www.upis.singidunum.ac.rs is the place where prospective students can find all the information they need to decide which faculty they want to enrol and find out about studying options offered by the University.

Professors from Singidunum University have given over a thousand lectures and paid visits to as many high schools around Serbia so far. The lectures are organized at high school students and teachers’ request. Topics include, but are not limited to: motivation, career development, technology development, healthy diet or specialized topics. High-school students can ask their teachers when the lectures will be held in their school.



If you want to attend a Singidunum University programme you need to follow these seven steps:


You can apply for university ENROLMENT by visiting our website www.upis.singidunum.ac.rs and choosing ONLINE APPLICATION. Once you have filled in the application form, you get a number which is the username for logging in, and your personal identification number (JMBG number) is your password.


You can log in to our application with your username and password. Once you have logged in, you can opt for the study programme and download the files. If you have chosen any of the following study programmes: BUSINESS ECONOMICS, MARKETING AND TRADE, TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT, ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT your entrance examination will be in the form of an interview

Upon having successful completed the APPLICATION procedure, the candidate gets “Interview topics” by email. These topics are to be discussed at the entrance examination. .

If you have chosen between the following study programmes INFORMATICS AND COMPUTING or ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTING, the entrance examination is done in the form of a test and an interview. The candidates’ knowledge based on the materials from the preparation files is tested in electronic classrooms. The test is followed by an interview. At the interview the candidates discusses their interests and reasons for enrolling at the chosen faculty.


Entrance exams for Business Economics, Marketing and Trade, Informatics and Computing and Engineering Management and Electrical Engineering start in March 2014 and will be held every Saturday according to the schedule posted on the University website. Entrance exams for Tourism and Hospitality Management start in April 2014 and will be organized according to schedule posted on our University website.


The candidate can sign a pre-contract once they pass the entrance exam till the moment the enrolment quota is reached. By paying 10% of the overall tuition fee and signing the pre- contract the candidates are guaranteed a place at Singidunum University.


The final ranking list is posted on the University website based on the entrance exam results and high school GPA.


High school diploma and certificates for all 4 high school grades (originals or certified copies), 2 photos 3.5 x 4.5 cm, tuition fee payment proof and a birth certificate are required for the enrolment.


A student ID number is collected on the day of enrollment.
