In accordance with the Bologna Declaration Principles and its contemporary tendencies in the domain of higher education, as well as relying on the Law on Higher Education of the Republic of Serbia, Singidunum University has organizes programmes for integrated Bachelor and postgraduate studies.

The University offers the following study programmes: Bachelor academic studies lasting three to four years, Master academic studies lasting one to two years, and three-year doctoral studies. The curricula are adjusted to meet the principles of Bologna Declaration by introduction of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

Practical coursework in informatics is compliant with the programme that provides ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) certificate, which is carried out as a part of the European initiative to standardize training and testing of computer skills.

When designing the curricula, special attention was paid not only to our previous experience, but also to the study programmes of study that are realized at renowned foreign universities with whom Singidunum University has established successful cooperation.

The curricula and study programmes of Singidunum University are adapted to Bologna Declaration principles by introduction of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). One of the numerous agreements Singidunum University has concluded so far is the cooperation agreement with the IBM, according to which Singidunum University. In accordance with this agreement, the University conducts educational IT programmes that rely on IBM methodology and products. During the course of studies, the University organizes special courses, specialty lecturers and seminars. Upon successful completion of exams, students are given the opportunity to obtain internationally recognized certificates.

Master Studies

Department of Postgraduate Studies and International Cooperation

Singidunum University offers eight accredited Master’s degrees. These Master degree programmes that are designed in accordance with the Law on Higher Education and they are designed and based on our previous experience in the realization of postgraduate studies.

One-year Master study programmes are intended for students who have completed fouryear academic studies. Whereas two-year Master studies are conducted for those who have completed three-year bachelor studies.

In compliance with the accreditation standards of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), a Master study programme titled Business Systems in Tourism and Hospitality was conducted entirely in English as of academic year 2012/2013.

ONE-YEAR MASTER STUDIES

Singidunum University organizes one-year Master studies that comprise two semesters (60 ETCS). These programmes are designed for students who have completed four-year academic studies and earned 240 ECTS.

  • In order to pass exams, students have to complete two project assignments.

The first project assignment integrates first semester courses, whereas the second project assignment combines at least two second semester courses. During the course of studies, students have to write a research paper, which is related to their project assignments. Also, the projects carried out in the first and second semester can be incorporated into the Master’s thesis.

The use of contemporary technology in the teaching process, enables students to gain considerable knowledge which they will be able to apply not only in the process of completing their Master’s thesis, but also in their business environment.

TWO-YEAR MASTER STUDIES

The University realizes a two-year Master programme (120 ECTS) for students who have completed three-year academic studies and earned 180 ECTS. In order to enroll in the first year of these studies (60 ETCS), the students must have passed all the exams in the fourth year of Bachelor studies of the relevant study programme at Singidunum University. The programme designed for one-year Master’s degree is carried out in the second year of these Master studies.

The master academic study programme titled Internal Audit and Forensics should enable students to enrich their academic background and broaden their expertise in the given field through gaining relevant skills and business tools that could be readily implemented in any organization or business environment.

This study programme provides students with the opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge that would enable them to successfully operate in the field of internal audit, accounting and auditing forensics, evaluation and risk, immediately upon request, and equips them with the fundamental information necessary for preparation for certification exams of the Institute of International Auditors (IIA).

This study programme is designed with the aim to respond to the growing demand for this field at higher education institutions. It should attract attention of various business organizations, banks, insurance companies, investment funds and other financial and non-financial organizations, that would employ master students who possess skills necessary for pursuing successful career in the field of internal audit, forensics and evaluation and risk.

  • The student takes seven exams. The first project assignment integrates four courses from the first semester while the second one incorporates three courses from the second semester.
  • During the course of lectures, the student defines the topic of his/her master thesis. Project assignments from the first and second semester can be incorporated into the final master's thesis.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is a specialized agency of the UN, within which Themis Foundation / UNWTO Themis Foundation (http://themis.unwto.org) operates. Headquartered in Andorra, this foundation is responsible for implementing the work programme on Education and Training of the UNWTO, and its main aim is to improve the quality, competence and sustainability of the overall tourism sector. The foundation also includes the accreditation system of higher education institutions in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management (UNWTO TedQual Certification System).

Singidunum University is among 69 most prestigious universities from all over the world, which have met all the necessary requirements, that is, standards of the UNWTO for obtaining the desired accreditation.UNWTO as well as the competent institution in Serbia have awarded the accreditation to Singidunum University for the realization of the study programme at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management for bachelor and master studies. Therefore, Singidunum University begins conducting master studies in English in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Management in the academic year 2012-13. Contemporary business operations and the Internet rely heavily on each other. As a synonym for information and computing infrastructure, the Internet is mainly used for the purposes of transmission, processing and storage of data. Information will provide a reliable base for making business decisions only if its security, authenticity and integrity can be granted. In case of deterioration of these security services, digital forensic methods are used to detect and resolve the given problem. Through application of intelligent systems techniques and data mining, reliable and secure information transforms into valid and efficient business decisions. This study programme should enable students to gain vast knowledge and skills in IT that will help you learn how to use methods of analysis and synthesis for all relevant phases of the business decision-making process. It prepares students for successful career in IT sectors (programming, security management, network and system administration, developmental engineering etc.)

The purpose of the MASTER study programme titled ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTING is to enable students to gain relevant knowledge and skills in various scientific and expert fields within the domain of Electrical Engineering and Computing, which are of vital importance for understanding and managing complex processes in modern information and communication systems. This master study programme is oriented towards three main fields: hardware realizations (electronics, energy efficient systems, robotics, and computer systems), software engineering and contemporary communication technologies. In accordance with their affiliations, the students have the opportunity to choose the most appropriate optional programme, courses, and project assignments, as well as to define the topic of their master’s thesis. Teaching methods include lectures, practical part, computer exercises, as well as consultation and mentoring work. During the course of lectures, the candidates are given the opportunity to define their thesis topic with the assistance of a mentor.
Thus master study programme is a result of an extensive cooperation of experts from various fields, with the aim to offer new and modern programs that require modern business environment.
